An extensive history of abuse is of course expensive, but it can cost so much more than money. Drug addiction and substance abuse have plenty of up front cost. But the hidden costs can often be the ones that are the most damaging. We can assist you with avoiding these cost that have not yet begun to impact you. We can also help you over come the cost that are already taking their toll on you.

When the cost of drug abuse is mentioned the mind goes to the dollar amount that is spent on a weekly or daily basis. This number rises rapidly as you chase that initial high. The one you will never really get again, no matter how much you spend. In time that rising cost becomes one of the factors that contributes to the hidden cost.

As the cost of addiction rises the addict will begin to decide that the money meant for other things needs to go to drugs. Suddenly the food on your table is suffering for drugs. Under the cloud of drug use, food seems to be much less important than getting high. The money that should go to rent and mortgage is being spent on this weekends high. It doesn’t matter how much you make it will slip through your fingers faster and faster the farther down into drug abuse you slide.

Addiction recovery can help with these things. If your addiction hasn’t yet reached the dark place I described above, count yourself lucky. But don’t just assume you will stay lucky.
